The Birth Of A Star

Born on April 28, 1992, in Aiken, South Carolina, to parents Yvonne and Tyrone Lawrence Demarcus Lawrence resided in one of the busiest regions in the United States. The football icon also has an older sister named Loshronda Lawrence.

DeMarcus Lawrence played football for two teams during his college days: the Butler Grizzlies and the Boise State Broncos.

He led the team with 13.5 tackles for loss and 9.5 sacks in his sophomore season, in which he started all 11 games.His 34 career tackles for loss placed him 14th in school history, while his 20 career sacks matched for sixth place. After the season, he submitted an NFL draft declaration in 2014 and got selected by the Dallas Cowboys.

After making his NFL debut in 2014, Lawrence became one of the league’s most talented players very fast. Lawrence participated in seven games during his rookie years and was selected to the first team all-pro and Pro Bowl in 2017. He is one of the Cowboys’ most vital defensive players and has been a member of the team his whole playing career.

Lawrence and the Cowboys agreed to a three-year, $40 million contract deal on March 14, 2022. Lawrence became the first defensive end in history to have his contract guaranteed for seven consecutive seasons, with $30 million of the total amount guaranteed.

Throughout the 2023 season, Lawrence started all 17 games. In the end, he recorded 50 total tackles, six passes defended, one forced fumble, and four sacks.For 2023, he was selected as a Pro Bowler.
